Hidankyo officers: Michiko Kodama, Terumi Tanaka, Jiro Hamasumi, and Toshiko Hamanaka reveal enduring physical and emotional scars, as well as discrimination. They describe the political and international obstacles that shaped efforts to support atomic bomb victims and abolish nuclear weapons. He provides context on nuclear diplomacy, failure of the NPT and persistence of nine nuclear powers.
